SICK...

Alright, finally I'm down with high fever and bad cough for the past few days and life seems so miserable for me... Wish I just die...haha

Actually its been almost a year that I didn't really fall sick. Usually I'm the person don't really fall sick easily. Only sometimes got sore throat or headache when I don't get enough rest or got too heaty. Well, this illness really cost me feel like dying. Since the past few days I was like keep having high fever range from 38 to 39 degrees C. And the bad cough really makes my chest pain like hell sia.

On sunday, I was really feeling terrible and visit A&E at CGH and guess what...I waited almost 45min for just getting a que number after that waited another 15 min just for consultation. Anyway thats not the point. Is that after taken the medication for 2 days, I still didn't recover and today really no choice I have to go back to my family doctor for consultation and to my shock. My family doctor told me to stop the medication and he prescribe a stronger antibotics for me as inflamation have occurred on my throat to the chest.

Hai...i should have gone visit my family doctor at first rather going to the stupid hospital...next time i won't go to any hospital for consultation unless operation.

So fed up...now....i think i feeling better as i am sweating as i blogging....hahaha...hope that i can recover tomorrow.

3 Years another 3 more years

Its been 3 years of work in the Navy and I have seen alot of changes in myself and the force too. I dunno whether I have change better or worst but, i learn alot of things in Navy and it sometimes built up my leadership as i lack of. Moreover i the type that are soft spoken person so dun dare to voice out my ideas and unhappiness. But now i do voice out to my officers that what really the men wants.

Well, now i really need to think of my future. I somehow abit of frighten coz wat can i do after ORD as in 3 years times. Time flies...just a split second and its there. By the time, i will be 28 going 29. I dun wan to start thinking wat i should do after that. Now i really dunno wat should do. Should i continue my passion on culinary or prepare for my studies in university. 2 choices...career, family and money...all came into my mind. If i go for my passion...i sure will have my career but...wont really earn much and maybe my family will suffer for the awhile of time. But if i go for studies, I dunno i can study just like i use to it...exam stress, projects and reports, just dunno whether i can cope or not. I dun wan to take too much risk coz i not young liao...not much time to waste...maybe i think too much but i wont wan to make my family suffer.

Now i really need God's help...may his mighty power show me the way. I know that it is a test on my faith and i know i need to accomplish this mission to gain my faith. Now all i need is to pray for the best not the worst. Pray for the success not the failure. Pray for the strength not the weakness.

May all this empower to me! Thank you Father lord!

P.S after writing this it really make me a strike to work for things not to wait...so 80% of faith is there...i will be working towards my goals....

30hr Famine Camp 2006

Yes! I've made it! I have sucessfully completed 30 hr famine camp. It is really a good experience of participating in the 30hr famine camp organize by world vision and habitat for humanity.

Well, the camp started on 17th June 2006 at 2pm whereby it begins our fasting and no food for the next 30hrs. There are total of 50 family approximately of 600 campees. For me, as a facilitator, I was been assign to a group whereby the tribe name is POMO family 2. Once 2pm strike, the 6hrs of role play begin and the first 1 1/2hr which considered as Day1. The activity is a simulation of a disaster strike and campees are seperate and the father of the family have to unite all the family members together. Well, once 2pm strike, all the campees are running and finding their designated place to report. Like all fathers have to reported to agency and report to the facilitators and proceed to find their family members. Some campees require to go evacuate centre 1,2 or 3 or even hospital. Some got HIV and has been spreading the virus to others.

As for me, i waited for the father almost 45 min until I call up and guess what, he left the campus without inform. (so declare him to decease)...hahaha anyway i quickly went to find the mother as she will take charge the family liao. Left only 45 min to gather the family so I also have to prompt her alot of hints just in case no left soul been abandon. Total 13 family members and 10 members were found the rest considered deceased (actually these 3 didn't turn up for the camp). After 1 1/2hr of Day1, siren sounded and all went back to cultural centre for 1/2hr workshop on HIV/AIDS.

After that, another 1 1/2hr was declared as Day2. The simulation of Day2 is that all the family required to build their own house and go to hospital for vaccination as there is a possible outbreak. For my family, i tell them to go to get some relief from the government and NGO. Its been fun with them as they have to make the game stations masters to laugh inorder to get more money or relief stuffs for building the home. We also went to the hospital for vaccination but due to no stocks (in role play) so no choice have to go work to earn CIP (cash point) for buying stuffs in the government main store. Time run very fast and own group couldn't have enough time to build the house so just left the materials that we got and place it in the resettlement area. We then go back to cultural centre for another 1/2hr workshop on shelter host by the habitat for humanity.

Soon after the 2nd workshop, we went to collect our sugar drink and thats our dinner. After
drinking it, we continue our 1 1/2hr as it was the Day3. The simulation of Day3 was we need to have vaccination if not the local police will take measure. Beside of this, the family must earn $75 CIP to feed the whole family. However , my group have not built the house yet. So we went to hospital for vaccine and it cost $5 for the whole family. After that, they went to the built the house and do jobs like crane folding where by each crane we fold the song he rice company will donate a bowl of rice to the needy in Singapore. We also do alot of jobs like bean sorting and bean picking. However it really dun earn much. Until our group have to sell hair but the black market was close so cannot. The last resort is to do prostitution. As a facilitator i cannot say much coz the family have to think wat is rite or wrong and decision have to make in order to survive.

After that the end of the Day3 simulation is about 8.30pm so went back to the cultural centre for the last workshop of the day based on the poverty which is addressed by the world vision. I really like the presentation it really touch me and make me think that we are really forunate to live in Singapore and sometimes we do take things for granted as in the 3rd world countries, people and children are in hunger and they have to work for long hours and only earn less than US$2 a day. It is really sad to see this. (Anyone care to know more about this? can visit the world vision website) http://www.worldvision.org.sg

After the whole day of activity, it is a really good time for us to do so reflection and can see my group really work hard and everyone plays a part. They are great guys and gals! Yes! we have gone thru 10hrs of fasting...20 hrs to go...

Next day, we went to tampines for newspaper collection drive. This collection is raising funds for childrens in mongolia, cambodia, vietnam, uzbekistan and africa. Before we set off we have our morning execise or worship. So for me, I went for worshipping the God coz saturday did go church to worship so it is fine to worship any place any where as long the God presence. Soon after the execise or worship, time to set off and after collect our drinks we took the chartered bus provided by SBS, and i kena as bus IC. I have to make sure all the campees and the facilitators have boarded the bus. Total 6 groups in the bus and we set toward tampines.

Once arrive to Tampines North park, we begin our collection. Great to see my group so unite and we act very fast on the collection and we finish our 7 blocks of collection within time. We finish at 12.15pm and we went for some drinks and i treated them. Good Job! guys and gals you are the best. Its about 3pm and time to go back to sajc. Well, still got 5 more hrs to go before we can have break-fast. heehee :)

After that we, we back to sajc to do domestic for the campus that we have mess. And we after the cleaning, we back on OTOT to do personal wash up. We meet at 5.30pm and really they give mr surprise. Really sweet of them giving me the dart board which we got it from the collection drive. Haha...Love you guys and gals...Thanks for the father's day gift. :)

Soon the concert started, we have great fun for it. At time 8pm, We offically, declare...break-fast. Yes! 30hr of famine...we did it...congrats. A really exprience...i bet next year i going it again for the facilitator job again.

Here are some fotos that we took at 2nd day...coz 1st day to busy guiding the group and really help out them to make decision.
